Melting
This is a preview of an effect I’m currently working on. It’s supposed to imitate an object burning or melting away.
Compilation
I’ve decided to make a compilation from various animation previews I’ve had sitting on my hard drive. As you can see most of these animations are work in progress, while some are just simple tests and exercises. Turn on your speakers!
RoboCan Test
Here’s a very rough animation test for the RoboCan animation. I was trying to come up with a cool looking way for the can to assemble itself to some sort of a character. I ended up with a different design because this one isn’t very emotive and believable as a character.
Ground break
This is a simple test animation I did today. I wanted to achieve kind of a breaking and crumbling effect. Both animations have the same setup with different settings to give them a different look. I made this with thinking particles 3 and afterburn for the smoke, rendered with default scanline.
Heksapod
Here are a couple of previews of a steampunk style spider machine (wow, that’s a mouthful^^) that I’ve been working on. As you can see it’s still a work in progress. When I complete the model and texture it I’m planing to use it in a short FX shot. The first image will take you to the turntable of the model, the second one to a walk cycle.
Big entry
Here are some animation tests of a short FX shot I’m working on. Rigid body dynamics were created with TP3, animation at the top was rendered with vray. There’s also a little fumefx action in there. I should also note that I didn’t make the car model. It comes together with madcar’s test file.
Another explosion
Used Rayfire for fragmenting the mesh I modeled, thinking particles 3 for rigid body dynamics and fumefx for the explosion. I wanted to finish this one but then I just moved to something else.
Statue explosion
Don’t get to attached before you click to see the animation :)…Oh and I should note that I didn’t model the statue myself. I got ti from a tutorial at zbrush central.
